The Renewal of Easter

In Colorado, April is marked with flowering buds on the trees and spring flowers such as tulips, daffodils and crocuses. Typically after the cold, snowy winter, these signs of spring are so welcome and signify the renewal of growth and life. This winter was exceptionally mild, but the spring flowers are still very welcome.

Similarly, Easter to me is a symbol of renewal and life. One of my favorite holidays, every Easter I celebrate the resurrection of Christ in the midst of spring flowers and family traditions. This opening to Spirit fills my heart with joy with the reminder that my God is a loving, very present God.

But why wait for Easter? The profound gift of the divinity is that one does not have to wait for a religious holiday in order to feel that personal connection and love. Renewal in connecting with your God and feeling the rebirth of life within your own soul can happen at any time. All one needs to do is have an open heart and mind and accept the love and connection with spirit. I wish you joy, transformation and the awe of Easter morning in your personal journey!
